A PAIR OF ITALIAN GILTWOOD GIRANDOLE MIRRORS
Venice, mid-18th Century
Each with cartouche-shaped central panel, one engraved and etched to the reverse with the figure of Flora, the other with Mercury, within a foliate and scroll-carved mirrored border headed by a shell, the border plates engraved with floral trails, lacking candle branches, with paper inventory labels to the reverse, minor variations in the engraved mirrors, one of the border mirrors broken and one small border mirror replaced
