BEATLES NEVER BEFORE SEEN SNAPSHOTS
1969
Fifty-one color and black and white snapshots taken of the Beatles at EMI-Abbey Road Studios in London, July 1969. Shot by a young woman who worked at Beatles (USA) Ltd. headquarters in NYC (See Lot 171) when she was visiting the group, these candid images show John, Paul, George and Ringo (among others) with their recognizible instruments in the studio as they record 'Come Together.' Still housed in their vintage photo album, the amateur photographer added handwritten notes on an enclosed page like "George - wail on" and "Paul tells Ringo it's 4 beats" among other fun annotations relating to the shots. Also included is a piece of face towel accompanied by a one page notarized document stating that this relic was used by one of the Beatles when they stayed at the Riviera Idlewild Hotel in Jamaica, (Queens) New York on September 20-21, 1964.
