JOHN LENNON PLAYED HARMONICA

A 'Hank Shriner Hoosier Boy' harmonica owned by disc jockey 'Banana Joe' Montione and played live on air by Lennon during the WFIL 'Helping Hand Marathon' fundraiser. When the Beatles' song 'I Should Have Known Better' was aired on the Saturday, May 17, 1975 broadcast (See Lot 178), Lennon gave an impromptu live accompaniment to the famous harmonica intro using this particular instrument; and according to 'Banana Joe,' no one has played it since! Original harmonica box is included.
