With nickel-finished lever movement, 26 jewels, the black dial with applied baton indexes, luminous accents to the hands, sweep center seconds beating one second at a time, the tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with screw back and screw down crown, together with a stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and clasp, case, dial and movement signed

The reference 6556, called the Tru-Beat, was first introduced in the early 1950s and was one of the first Rolex wristwatches to feature jumping seconds. Though very unusual and technically innovative, production of the Tru-Beat ceased after only a few years of production.
