Lot Essay

This watch is accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1921 and its subsequent sale on January 31st, 1922.

The jump hour complication is one of the rarest functions found in Patek Philippe watches. The simplicity of the case and dial of this watch and the fact that it is in platinum make it even more desirable.
This is the only known example of a platinum jump hour pocketwatch ever to come to auction.
