With gilt-finished lever movement, 18 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, the gilt dial with Arabic numerals, outer minutes track, centered by two white and blue enamel flags and inscription, the circular case with blue enamel accent to the bezel, enhanced by eight cabochon sapphire-set accents with winding crown through accent to 12 o'clock, the snap on back with blue enamel decoration to look like a ship's steering helm, centered by word 'westward', case numbered, dial and movement signed
