With three-quarter plate gilt-finished two-train jewelled lever movement, screwed chatons, bimetallic compensation balance, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands, subsidiary seconds, the ciruclar case with plain front lid and hinged back, two chronograph buttons in the band, case numbered, movement signed
53 mm. diam.

Lot Essay

The present example features an extremely rare independent split-second chronograph. Its two-train movement allows the chronograph to function on its own spring and is very unusual for a watch made in this period.
