With gilt-finished lever movement, 20 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, silver cuvette, the white enamel dial with luminous Arabic numerals, luminous hands, subsidiary seconds, the circular case with factory engraved hinged back, chronograph operated by a button through the crown, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Over the years, the US Army Corps of Engineers worked with many watch companies in America and Europe to develop precision time keepers to help with their highly technical work. The present lot is a good example of the important relationship between the Corps and Vacheron & Constantin.
