A WESTERN GREAT LAKES WOOD CLUB
of classic "gunstock" form, with triangular butt, carved on the spine with alternating diamond and linear motifs, slightly recessed hand grip, and shaft of expanding rectangular section, decorated on one side with a series of four engraved circular medallions, two elongated geometrical motifs, and a row of small, chip-carved triangles, a semi-circular recessed panel on the other side, possibly once inset with a mirror, and iron blade inserted opposite the crook, "scalp" attached at top
