A set of four George III silver vegetable-dishes and covers
Mark of Digby Scott and Benjamin Smith, London, 1806
Each shaped circular, with grapevine, foliage and shell ribbon-wrapped reeded border, the domed cover with ribbon-wrapped reeded border and with detachable cast grapevine finial, the dishes engraved twice with a crest, the covers engraved twice with a coat-of-arms each with earl's coronet above, marked on dishes, covers and handles

The arms are those of Villiers with Child quartering Fane in pretence, for George, 5th Earl of Jersey (1773-1859) and his wife Lady Sarah (d.1867), daughter of John, 10th Earl of Westmoreland K.G. (1759-1841) and heir of her maternal grandfather, Robert Child the Banker, whom he married in 1804. (4)
