A George II silver coffee-pot
Mark of Henry Herbert, London, 1735
The fluted slightly tapering cylindrical body domed shaped-circular foot, with part-wood scroll handle with cast and chased rocaille terminals, the hinged slightly domed fluted cover with baluster finial chased with a strapwork border, the scroll spout chased with diaperwork, flowers, rocaille and strapwork, the body engraved with the Royal arms, fully marked under base, the inside cover with lion passant mark only

The Royal arms are for King George II (1727-1760)
