Ten armorial English porcelain dessert-plates
MID 19TH CENTURY, IRON-RED RETAILER'S W.P & G PHILLIPS MARKS
Painted and gilt en grisaille to the centre with the coat-of-arms of Sir Charles Rushout, third Baronet, within a wreathed shield enclosing a gilt monogram surmounted by a lion rampant and crowned lion's head, beneath the bannered motto PAR TERNIS SUPPAR, within a gilt concentric-line and richly-gilt broad borders of scrolls and stiff leaves (some light surface scratching to enamels and gilding, one plate with light crack to glaze on base, one stained)
