LATE 19TH CENTURY, PRINTED BLUE SEVER/FRANCE, SPURIOUS INTERLACED L MARKS, INTERLACED MONOGRAM
Each painted with with a courting gentleman and companion in eighteenth Century-style dress in landscape, signed C Rochette, within a raised gilt oval cartouche reserved on a dark-blue ground decorated with gilt cell and diaper-pattern panels, the reverse painted with a chateaux before a lake in landscape, with twin gilt-metal acnthus-moulded handles, the domed covers with gilt-metal pinecone finial (rim chip to one cover, light rubbing to gilding)
