A fine Moud carpet, East Persia
The soft burgundy plain field with large concentric indigo medallion with double pendants issuing serrated palmettes, containing scrolling arabesques and floral meander enclosing similar smaller rust medallion and ivory floral centrepiece, spandrels similar, in rust border of polychrome palmettes and leafy sprays between ivory and burgundy floral vine stripes, outer reciprocal skittle-pattern and plain stripes, old repair at one end (very well blend) otherwise good condition
