Lot Essay

This design, number 214962, was registered and patented by Coalbrookdale Iron Foundry at the Public Records Office on 11th December 1867, and is hall stand no 127 in their 1875 Castings Catalogue.

The Coalbrookdale Foundry registered two other hall stand designs at the Public Records Office by Christopher Dresser in the same year; these are numbers 125 and 129 in their 1875 Castings Catalogue, Section II, page 227.
