A late Ming wucai charger, Wanli six character mark and of the period
enamelled in yellow, green, black, iron-red on underglaze blue to depict four peony branches within a border of further peach, pomegranate, double-gourd and lychee branches, the exterior with a continuous lotus meander -- 15 in. (38 cm.) diam.
