A large sancai glazed pottery model of a horse, Tang dynaty
crisply modelled standing four-square on a rectangular base with head turned slightly to the left, the straw glazed mane falling to the left before the large unglazed saddle, the body covered in a chestnut glaze applied with simulated leather harness fittings with large suspended green glazed tassels -- 21 5/8in. (55cm.) high.
