etching, 1971, on wove paper, dedicated 'for jean + Alexis with love from David H.' in red crayon, dated 1972, an early proof prior to the edition of 150 (there were also sixty proofs) before the shading on the curtains, the wall and the tulips, and before the design of the fish on the vase, published by Petersburg Press, New York and London, with margins, two short creases in the lower part of the subject, some very soft rippling, one or two foxmarks, one or two pinholes at the sheet edges, otherwise generally in good condition, framed
