Four late 18th/19th Century apothecary and coin beam balances in fitted mahogany cases,
including: a steel coin beam balance composed of steel with copper pans, thirteen weights and a further five weights contained in a piece of paper, the mahogany case with a faint inscription for WB on the the lid and hook and eye catch -- 18.4cm. (7¼in.) wide; a steel coin beam balance with copper pans and six weights, contained in a mahogany slide lid case with green felt lining -- 13.3cm. (5¼in.) wide; a steel apothecary beam balance with copper pans and six weights, the fitted mahogany case with a hinged lid compartment for a further six grain weights (two smallest missing) -- 13.7cm. (5 3/8in.) wide; and a steel apothecary balance with copper pans and four weights, contained in a mahogany case with purple plush lining and hook and eye catch -- 14.3cm. (5 5/8in.) wide
