unsigned, with two pairs of oxidised-brass sights, alidade with twin verniers, degree scale numbered 0-180° in both directions, and ball and socket staff mounting (compass missing) -- 20.3cm. (8in.) wide; a 19th-Century Dutch brass drum sextant signed J.M. Kleman & Zoon Koninkl: Instr:-makers. with silvered scale and vernier, mirror, shade and numbered adjustment holes (magnifier broken off but retained, telescope missing), the exterior painted black -- 9.2cm. (3 5/8in.) diameter; a wide brass rule; a mahogany 12-inch sector; and a brass mounted fruitwood sliding rule (5)
