Young 1st Prize for Military Surveying Royal Military College December, 1871 , with silvered scale and vernier, magnifier, tangent screw alidade adjustment, red and green swinging shades, mirror and telescope with rotating eyepiece disc containing one clear and three smoked lenses, in a fitted mahogany case with lignum vitae stringing and key -- 11.9cm.
