the 7cm. diameter globe signed ZEMEKOULE vydal J. Felkl v Praze, made up of twelve lithographed gores with text in Czech, the equatorial and meridian of Fero graduated in degrees, the ecliptic ungraduated, the continents outlined in green and shaded yellow, Africa shaded green, showing rivers and cities, Tasmania labelled z. Van Dimens, mounted with gearing and wire arm for white-painted moon ball above, and further gearing below to the hexagonal brass drum at the end of the main arm, with scroll support and fruitwood turning handle, the Zodiac plate with paper circle showing initialled compass directions, days of the month and houses of the Zodiac with thirty-two point wind rose, brass candle holder, brass-mounted mirror and index pointer for the Zodiac plate, raised on cast-iron column and stepped circular base with six inswept scroll feet -- 62cm.
