signed on the pillar Cary LONDON, the pillar arranged to screw into a threaded brass fitting on the edge of the case (pillar thread broken), with rack and pinion adjustment to the stage, the barrel held on an adjustable limb from the top of the pillar, and concave substage mirror, with three objectives, live box, two five-cell ivory sliders, two forceps, tweezers and a spike, in a blue-plush-lined fited mahogany case with two brass hooks and eyes -- 9.4cm.
