Watson & Sons, Ltd London 66466, the barrel with draw-tube and rack and pinion focusing, micrometer fine adjustment and triple nosepiece, the large stage with a Winkel-Zeiss mechanical attachment, the large swinging substage condensor with diaphragm and blue glass filter and plano-concave mirror, the curved main limb tilting on an axis between two uprights from the Y-shaped foot, with x6 and x10 eyepieces, Watson parachromatic and 2/3in. objectives and a Watson utility oil immersion, in black plastic canisters, and a bottle of Watson immersion oil, in a mahogany carrying case with magnification table on the door dated 1938, a 32-page booklet The Book Of The Watson Microscope and a small Watson catalogue dated 1937, the case with leather carrying handle and gilt Watson Lion logo on the door -- 33.8cm.
