Pomerol, cru exceptionnel
At the Great Classics of Jean-Pierre Moueix tasting at Christie's, May 2002. Very clean rich garnet color, brimming; lots of smoke and tobacco aroma's rise slowly from the glass; tremendous power and length on the palate. Very firmly structured, massive concentration. A classic, pure decadence. Hangs around for a very long time. I could quite easily drink this now, but it will go on evolving for the next 30 to 40 years at least. DW
