Lot 499-500 levels: very top shoulder or better. Lot 501-502 levels: top shoulder. Lot 500: two corroded capsules. All lots: damp stained labels.

Nice ruby color, tawny rim. Nice fruit ripeness on the nose; hints of cherry. Sweet almost creamy stawberry fruit on the palate. Full, mature, dry; very slightly lean, but lots of character. A real suprise & went really well with lamb shank. Mar 02 DW
