Please note that Dr Magna Bruiteg from the Munch Museet, Oslo, has dated this work to 1930, based on stylistic similarities with a landscape drawing on the theme of Peer Gynt, executed in the same year. The drawing has the same paper stock as a sketch-book filled with other drawing executed, as this one, with hectographic ink. The sketch-book formed part of Munch's bequest to the nation.
