Painted in colours, one modelled as the standing Columbine holding a black mask in her right hand, the base metal-mounted, the other as the portrait bust of Harlequin wearing a cream-coloured hat, a black mask and a white collar above a chequered shirt, on gilt fluted pedestal inscribed TOUJOURS GAI (always cheerful) in red (minute frits to his hat)
