The front and reverse decorated in the petit feu technique with a parrot perched on blossoming chrysanthemum branches, the sides with branches en suite, the borders with stylised foliage enhanced in black, the single-handled rectangular compartmented body with canted corners and frontal opening or slit enclosing a drawer with ball-handle and shaped rim, an inkwell with metal receptacle and cover with flowerbud finial and a pierced sander decorated en suite (repaired chips, the handle replaced)
