A pair of English ironstone dark-blue-ground vases and covers
probably Mason's, of baluster form, with fluted necks and covers and stylised lion handles, richly gilt with sprays of peonies below trailing dianthus, the covers with similar ornament, each reverse gilt with butterflies -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) high, circa 1820 (some wear to gilt and minor firing faults)
