A pair of Sevres green-ground pot-pourri vases and covers (vase 'pot pourri feuilles de mirte' troisieme grandeur)
1763, ONE WITH BLUE INTERLACED LS ENCLOSING DATE LETTER K, PAINTER'S MARK FOR MORIN
The green-ground bodies of inverted pear-shaped form, each with two pierced down-turned anthemion palmette apertures below the rim flanked by pierced foliage scroll apertures issuing from gilt-edged white down-turned scrolling myrtle handles entwined with scrolls above, reserved below on each side with inverted pear-shaped gilt-edged panels, the front with pastoral vignettes after Teniers with figures smoking and drinking, the reverse with bouquets, the domed circular feet gilt with garlands, the domed covers with gilt husks in spirally-moulded pierced flutes issuing from flower-encrusted knops (covers restored, one extensively, areas of wear to gilding and scratching to enamels, gilt bands on edge of feet re-touched)
