1763, BLUE INTERLACED LS ENCLOSING DATE LETTER K, PAINTER'S MARK FOR ALONCLE
The white spout and ear-shaped handle gilt with lines and pendant husks, the blue-ground oviform body painted with two large landscape vignettes with birds including a duck by a river, within oval gilt scroll and foliage cartouches flanked by flowers, the foliage below enclosing shaped panels of gilt oeil de pedrix and seeded ornament, the domed cover with a continuous gilt garland about a gilt flower finial, gilt dentil rims (minute chip to tip of spout, minute wear to gilding of finial, upper rim and rim of spout)
