CIRCA 1735, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK
Of bucket-shaped form, the scrolling Frauenkopf handles enriched with gilt husks, scrolls and foliage, each side painted with the gelbe Löwe pattern with a black-striped yellow tiger curled around stems of flowering bamboo and with knarled trunks issuing flowering prunus branches, two flowering branches down from the rim disguising firing cracks, the slightly domed, conical cover similarly decorated below a large turquoise and yellow bud finial, the cover with brown line rim (one handle with small chip and chip to female's headdress, extended firing crack from rim, some gilding refreshed, some areas of minute wear to enamels, cover with two chips to interior flange, slight wear to brown line rim)
