THE PORCELAIN HANDLES CIRCA 1780, PROBABLY NOVE, THE MOUNTS CONTEMPORARY
The porcelain handles of slender tapering form, each side painted with trailing stems with pink flowers issuing from moulded blue leaves within slender U-shaped borders of moulded blue dot ornament between gilt lines, fitted with gilt-metal three-tined forks and knife-blades, the mounts moulded with further foliage and dot ornament, comprising:

Eighteen forks (slight wear throughout, one with handle detached and two tines lacking, one handle broken and repaired, one with flaking to enamels, one with minute chip, one with crack to gilt-metal stem)
Eighteen knives (slight wear throughout, small crack to end of one, four with very slight extended firing cracks along mould join, two with similar but larger extending firing cracks, two cracked apart and restuck)
Eighteen gilt-metal spoons with slender bowls, the handles moulded with similar foliage within dot ornament borders, the reverses with coats of arms within escutcheons
In a rectangular red velvet-lined and covered contemporary wood domed casket on four bracket feet, mounted with copper bands beaten and pounced with vases, scrolling foliage and a coat of arms (distressed)
