Guttmann Catalogue, no. 25, where she points out that this dog could possibly have been one of the 6 animals including dogs, cats and sheep which were bought on 18th June 1736 by Count zu Solms from Samuel Chladny in Dresden. These pieces were exhibited at the Silvervault on 12th November 1739.
