A pair of Kastrup fayence duck-tureens and covers
CIRCA 1760, SCRIPT BLUE F MARKS
Each modelled with their heads slightly turned to the left, the bodies forming the tureens, the upper halves and their bottoms painted with brown plumage, with pink webbed feet and black and green tail feathers, the wings, necks and heads forming the covers, the wings moulded with brown, pink and blue feathers, their necks with dark-turquoise patches and heads with black and white patches and yellow bills, with pronounced black sleek markings about their eyes (one tureen with partially replacement feet, other with branching crack to chest, both covers broken through and restored, restoration to beaks and back of one head, flaking and very slight chipping to rims and extremities, some disguised with very small areas of overpainting)
