The silvered dial signed Joseph Manton. Gun Maker & C & C LONDON Inventor & by His Majesty's Patent and within the subsidiary seconds dial (at VI) the cypher R., Roman hour numerals, blued steel hands, Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance, segmental heat compensation weights with steel tangential side screws, blued steel helical balance spring, spring foot detent, mounted in rectangular silver-framed glazed display case with silver chain handle and front and rear doors, mounted on a silver moulded mirrored base with additional silver-framed glazed cover; with green velvet-lined purpose made leather travelling case with gilt monogram to the front
