The gorge case with plain gilt mask to white enamel chapter discs, main dial with blue and gilt Roman and Arabic numerals, pale blue chapter ring with gilt star half hour markers, signed in the centre A.H. RODANET/Fourn.r de la Marine de l'Etat/56 RUE VIVIENNE/PARIS, blued steel hands, with subsidiary dials below for day of week, alarm (lacking hand) and date, the eight day twin barrel movement with silvered and spot-finished platform to cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on two gongs to the back plate with repeat signature and numbered 27655, with three-position sonnerie adjustment lever to the underside -- 5 5/8in. (14.3cm.) high to fold of handle; with red leather travel case
