A French brass and champlevé enamel striking and repeating carriage clock, circa 1890
The anglaise riche case Corinthian capitals and dentil cornices, decorated with polychrome enamel to the top, columns and base, with foliate cast pierced gilt-brass mounts to the side panels under bowed glass, conforming mask to the silvered Arabic chapter ring with black-painted numerals and filigree centre mount, blued steel hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with silvered platform to cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat on gong to back plate stamped for E. Maurice & Co. and numbered 5612 -- 7in. (17.5cm.) high to fold of handle
