The gorge case with Sèvres style turquoise side panels painted with rustic maidens within gilt borders, the conforming dial with Roman chapters and depicting a cottage scene, with subsidiary alarm ring below, blued steel spade hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with silvered platform to bimetallic balance with lever escapement, with strike/repeat/alarm on gong to back plate numbered 28 -- 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) high to fold of handle
