With replaced bell (lacking finial), original frets, side doors probably original, with iron back plate and hoop and spurs, the 1½in. wide Roman chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, the dial centre with foliate scroll engraving above reserve signed ARTH HURT/ASHFORD, single iron hand, the thirty-hour movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike -- 13¼in. (33.5cm.) high
