An early Victorian rosewood and brass inlaid table timepiece, circa 1840
With gadrooned mouldings to the arched top, brass loop handles to the sides above tracery frets, raised on brass ball feet, the white painted Roman dial signed JOHN FLETCHER/BARNSLEY, with blued steel moon hands, the eight day four pillar movement with shouldered plates, single gut fusee and anchor escapement -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) high
