In the Louis XV style, the red-stained tortoiseshell case with cut brass inlays, with cockerel central finial and flambeau urn lower finials, ormolu-lined glass side panels, boulle marquetry rear door, with plumed female mask mount to the front, the foliate cast dial with individual white enamel Roman cartouche chapters and signed on a central enamel plaque Le Roy/Paris, blued steel hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with rectangular plates and stamped A.D. MOUGIN, with strike on gong suspended from above, with radiant mask pendulum -- 31¼in. (80cm.) high
