The case of this clock sustained damage from bombing in World War II and it is believed that the restorations date from this period.

A William and Mary ebonised and brass-mounted striking table clock, late 17th century
The case with brass handle to repoussé basket top, urn finials to the angles, with stepped mouldings to top and bottom, the sides with narrow panels with repoussé brass mounts above glazed panels, on later block feet, the 6½in. square brass dial with foliate scroll engraving to the edges and winged cherub mask spandrels to a silvered chapter ring signed Nicho. Massy London, with sword-hilt half hour markers, the matted centre with engraving around the date aperture and around the mock pendulum aperture, ringed winding holes, blued steel later hands, strike/not strike lever above XII, the eight day movement with five ringed baluster pillars secured with latches (one now with pin), the three dial feet also latched, twin gut fusees with restored verge escapement with knife-edge suspension, hour strike on bell and pull quarter repeat on two further bells (all bells replaced), secured to the case with two bolts through the lower pillars; the case with restorations -- 14½in. (37cm.) high to fold of handle
