He made a series of drawings of important country houses, which were engraved by William Henry Toms and published by Dr John Harris. William Henry 55) had a studio in Union Court, Holborn before he moved into the Old Bailey. He was a seller for other artists as well as being an engraver, and published a wide variety of prints including military plans and surveys and topographical subjects. He was one of the first to promote his prints as being suitable for viewing with the new 'Perspective Glass', a method of looking at prints through a lens at eye level, when the print itself was laid flat.
