Elizabeth (?1730-1772) was the daughter of Sir John Rushout, 4th Bt, of Northwick Park and Harrow, Middlesex, and Lady Anne Compton, daughter of George Compton, 4th Earl of Northampton, and sister of 1st Lord Norhwick of Wanstead, Essex. In 1761 she married Richard Myddelton (1726-1795) (see lot 106), the son of John Myddelton (1685-1747) and his wife Mary (d. 1741), daughter of Thomas Liddell of London. Together Richard and Elizabeth carried out extensive alterations at Chirk, both in the Castle and in the landscaping of the park, as well as commissioning Wiliam Yoxall's Modern Gothick interiors and furniture, including the Mayhew and Ince Hall Chairs on loan to the National Trust, and the serving table (lot 100) .
