carved in relief to one side simulating Tengu hatching out of the egg, inlaid eyes, the reverse with incised signature beside the himatoshi -- 1¾in. (4.4cm.) high; and another wood netsuke of a standing sennin wearing leafy robes and carrying a staff -- 3 5/8in. (9.2cm.) high. (2)
