GNR Stirling Single 4-2-2 Locomotive and Tender No. 47
5in. gauge well engineered by B.J. Bagnall with brazed superheated copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, whistle, clack and blowdown valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link gear, footplate controlled draincocks, mechanical lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, whistle, steam operated brake gear, working leaf springs, the tender with working leaf springs, hand operated brake gear, hand feed pump, water cock, steps, hand and lamp irons. Finished in GNR green livery and lining -- 14½ x 56in. (37 x 142cm.); and a four wheel driving trolley with padded seat and brake -- 20½in. (52cm.) long. Boiler certificate valid to 4.7.88
