A fan, the paper leaf printed and overpainted in watercolour with a central oval depicting possibly the Three Graces, applied with sequins, with ivory sticks pierced and carved with a central floral cartouche, reserved against a floral and foliate ground, and similarly decorated guards inset with tortoiseshell--11½in. (29cm. high), some repairs and damages, circa 1790
