Double-hinged rectangular, the front engraved with initials, the hinged side acting as the cigarette holder box -- 2 3/8ins. (6.2cms.); a hammered circular example, Sampson Mordan and Co., London 1903; a Victorian example formed as a four-division cheroot case, Birmingham 1898 -- 2ins. (5cms.); and an example formed as a howitzer shell, Birmingham 1915 -- 2¼ins. (5.5cms.) (4)
